The offense is nasty. Barkley is better than any qb Pete had.

kiffin is a major reason why the offense is better. the dude is still an elite OC. anyone arguing otherwise just isn't paying attention.

They didn't really suck? did you watch the oregon and stanford games? and how was pete not there?

They lost 4 games. Pete set the bar so high that a single down year was considered a "****ty" season. How many programs consider a 4 loss season a failure? Or to how many programs is that considered "sucking"?

any elite program. and usc might very well only lose 4 games this year too. they'll probably lose to oregon and then who? oregon state maybe?

stanford has a truly horrible defense. if they roll through the rest of the schedule like this i'll be convinced.

Bama would beat the ducks by 2 tds on a neutral field. they can't handle a more physical team.

bama would have the speed and discipline on defense to stop that oregon offense. stanford's D is very slow and they got exposed.

I see your point but you're probably the only person in the CFB world who would call the granddaddy of them all, the Rose Bowl, a "second tier BCS bowl game."

:eek:lol:
when? maybe 20 years ago if that.
this is a foolish, self-given title (like cowboys being americas team)

only matters to big 10 and pac 10 teams.
how can it be the biggest bowl if only 21 teams have a chance to play there?

Oregon reminds me of 08 Oklahoma team with their fast hurry up offense...piling up loads of points on mediocre defenses...curious to see how they respond when they play a good fast defense like UF had that yr...

good point NCgatorait. also similar to some ttech teams that lit up the bad defenses and couldn't cut it against the good. teh latter is obvious yet to be seen. though in the past when elite offenses have played elite defenses the elite defenses have always won.
