The Official Philadelphia Eagles Thread

After to coming to the conclusion that all I can reasonably do is give this schmuck a chance.... I like his hires so far.

Schwartz will get the defense back to where it needs to be. Going back to a 4-3 is just what I wanted to hear.

Bearcat... you dropped the Chiefs kinda fast, no?

Eagles looking to trade maxwell and alonzo to dolphins for draft picks. I hated the alonzo deal last year....we gave away shady for a flash in the pan lb with blown out knees.

Considering what's out there....I'm okay with Sam.

We get another 2 years to plan ahead.

If it doesn't workout we can get rid of him without crippling the cap situation.

I think they can get rid of him next year actually without taking much of a loss.

It's a very shallow FA QB pool this year

By dealing Maxwell, Kikko, and Murray, the Eagles clear 8.9M in cap for players who really didn't perform at all this past year. Maxwell couldn't cover opponents #3 receivers, Murray was a cancer in the locker room and was being outperformed by #3 Sproles, and Kikko couldn't stay on the field. Clearing that much cap room and getting draft picks to boot, pretty much the best thing that could have happened out of the ****job Chip did with player management.

I wouldn't either. The 13th and 47th picks aren't enough to move up from #20 to 2 and get a franchise QB.

90% of teams would take that deal in a heartbeat. Did you miss the part about any QB and any player on defense. So are you really saying that if you have the opportunity for that trade, which would include Fletcher Cox, you wouldn't take it? I really don't believe that Kelly offered all of that, but if he did and the Titans management turned it down, it's just further proof that the Titans organization is in pretty bad hands.

They're in different hands now than they were at the time, regardless. If you think a guy would give you the first franchise QB you've had in a decade, you don't trade him for a Jurrell Casey clone and a handful of spare parts. The Rams got significantly more than that from Washington, and they were moving up from #6, not #20.

Skins for #2: #6 pick that year, two more first-rounders and a second-rounder.
Eagles for #2: #20 pick that year, one more first-rounder, a second-rounder, and Fletcher Cox.

Nah

You're insane lol. You are acting like Marriota was projected as the greatest QB prospect to come through the draft in years.
