If you can have 8 "first-team" players, why can't you have 2 coaches of the year?

Beal and Boynton?

I guess I didn't see them enough because they didn't look like first teamers

The only one I really have a problem with is Taylor being on the all-defensive team. Other than that, you really can't argue with it too much.... Maybe Boyton being on first team as well.

Here's my problem, cal is supposed to do well, he recruits the best talent year in and year out.. Kentucky is ranked high every year, They are supposed to do well... To me, I think coach of the year should be Cuonzo. We were supposed to finish 11 this year in the SEC, and yet we finished 2. To me, that's COACH of the year. Not someone who recruits the best talent and rides them to an awesome record..but this is just my opinion on what coach of the year should be..

Here is my problem with that thinking.

Let's say if UT was picked to finished first, and UK had been picked 11th. Say we went undefeated and UK had finished 2nd, would you still think the same way?

Meh, doesn't mean anything anyways, just a title that gets thrown out on TV.

Exactly! If Calipari were coaching UT's players this season, he wouldn't have had the success that Martin has. Cal is an ace recruiter, but Martin is the better coach.

Does anyone have a realistic guess on the real height and weight of J. Stokes. I was just wondering, he looks bigger than listed.

If UK was picked to finish 11, and they finished 2? Yes, yes I would feel the same way...

Had no problem with your reasoning at all, just making sure with it. Personally I would give it to Martin any other year, (I hate KY with a passion) but they did finish the first undefeated season in years.

I understand that, but he's supposed to do good... To me, its coach of the year...not recruiter of the year.. coach k, could of taken that team undefeated.. I think Cuonzo could of too..

I agree with that, I mean this isn't even the same team we had 3 months ago. You can tell Martin has been able to coach our guys up.

Yep he's done an amazing job.. I wasn't sure of him being hired as our coach, and even at the start of the year I thought oh boy, this isn't goona be good. But to see this team change and become a team right before my eyes, its just amazing what he has done..

In summer, he was 6'8/250. He now says he's a legit 6'9 and came in at 270. I'd venture to say he's 255-260 now.
