KY has the best player in cbb, and 4 players on the all conference team.

Whereas UT has one player represented.

Nobody says Cal just rolled the balls out - no question he did a super job.."aligning his stars just right" so to speak.

But seriously. Given the respective personnel, who could deny that Martin did the better coaching job? Oh well..

Here's my problem, cal is supposed to do well, he recruits the best talent year in and year out.. Kentucky is ranked high every year, They are supposed to do well... To me, I think coach of the year should be Cuonzo. We were supposed to finish 11 this year in the SEC, and yet we finished 2. To me, that's COACH of the year. Not someone who recruits the best talent and rides them to an awesome record..but this is just my opinion on what coach of the year should be..

16-0 is hard to overlook.

not really when you get a top class every year like cal does. it should be expected.

Crazy talk. How can you really expect perfection each year? All it takes is one game for them to not have their heads screwed on right and thinking the name on the jersey will just scare the opposition into submission. There is a reason there hasn't been an undefeated team in the conference since 02-03, and they were a miracle 3-ball from finishing undefeated for the regular season. Not sure when that happened last either.

IMO recruiting is a part of coaching, and as much as I hate Cal he has done a pretty rediculous job all around this year.

Regardless of what kind of talent you have, 16-0 is too impressive to snub. CCM did a great job this year, but it's tough to complain about Calipari getting the nod.
