Here’s what you’re smoking in Hoover this year….
‘From left to right…
Monticristo #2
Partagas Lusitania
‘Vegas Rivera
Cohiba
Romeo & Julieta Churchill
Trinidad
Nice list. I prefer the Romeo&Julieta Churchill as that is what the man himself smoked.
SECT is meaningless. Rather rest for regionals.
Rest is the worst possible thing for baseball players. The Dodgers and Braves have been the 1 and 2 seeds in the NL for the past 2 seasons and neither one of them made it out of the NLDS due to not playing a game for an entire week while the teams in the wildcard round got to keep their normal routine going. Baseball players are creatures of habit and whenever you take that long off between games then you lose your rhythm. There is a reason we play midweek games. Keeps the hitters going.Rest in baseball isn’t always good. It’s not like other sports where fatigue is a big issue. Continuity and routine matter a lot more. Being off for a week throws teams off quite often. That’s the big complaint with the modern MLB playoffs actually
Agree as look up to my last post. I will say that it’s probably not as much correlation as we all think. In 21 we played 5 games in Hoover and luckily Gilbert bailed us out against Wright St because who knows what would have happened if we lost that game. In 22 we played 4 games in Hoover and then bowed out in supers but would say we didn’t play sharp baseball after Hoover at all. Then last year we were 1 and done in Hoover but got it together to make the CWS. Best time of year for college ball soon awaits us!Rest is the worst possible thing for baseball players. Best thing to do is what Mississippi State did in 2021. Get the 3 seed in the SECT and then get run ruled in your two games, then go scorched earth and win the CWS.Agree as look up to my last post.
