I didn’t like it. It doesn’t even feel American. Most people you meet either don’t speak English or have foreign accents. It was a culture shock to me. Where I grew up was 60% white, 40% black and 100% American lol. I might as well have been crocodile Dundee up there

It’s a transient city thing. No one is from there, no one knows each other. So everyone is at best indifferent towards one another, and at worst annoyed by one another due to how many people there are. I’d hate to live that way. It has to be isolatingI detected an "unsatisfied bitterness" which you're just not going to find in the South or South East. Plus WE have brisket (sp), sweet tea, corn bread, etc and it sunny, warm and pleasant. When people around the country make fun of the South, I don't even defend it because I don't want to inadvertently convince some northerner to move south.
