The farmers and mechanics have not been in the league long enough for me to develop a dislike for them. But just the fact they are playing the gumps is enough for me to pull for them.

Their fans will make you go the other way. Last week in Oxford I set in their section for 1/2 an inning; I had to move. As I left I told them congrats on being the most annoying fanbase in the SEC, they said thanks. They just chant and chirp constantly. It’s like a HS softball team except it’s 60 yr old adults.

There is just something about Alabama and the SEC Tournament under Brad Bohannon. Very average SEC team during the season, but they break out in Hoover like clockwork. Imagine if Alabama could just play like they were in Hoover for a whole season.

They have their biggest home crowd in Hoover. Nobody’s driving 45 miles to Tuscaloosa from B’ham for anything other than football.
