The tourney officials know that pitching is so thin by this time, they absolutely should have planned around this likelihood. At least we should have started today at 9 am, shortened to 7 innings or play on adjacent field. C'mon people, get your act together.

I think the 10-run rule is probably even a bit generous. If you’re down 8 runs AFTER 7 you’re almost certainly not coming back. They probably should lower the threshold a bit. An 8-run rule would have ended both of Candy’s games early. It would have helped move things along.
