Just some guesses, but I think they would make them 7 inning games. They could also use Monday if needed. Also, could play doubleheaders later in the week.

Games don't start until 3 on Friday and noon on Saturday. Could sneak in games in the morning...

Well, that is disappointing.

One time, many decades ago, I called off a night of men's league softball based on a mid-afternoon forecast.

It didn't rain a drop that evening.

Haven't yet made that mistake again.

I don’t disagree with you there but you’ve also got to have contingency plans. Either you establish additional facilities to play games at the same time during open weather windows or you drop the teams playing Tuesday and move forward. The one field they are playing on isn’t turf.

Now you’re risking your best teams making the CWS and one bringing home another title by teams getting tired and/or beat up with regionals on the horizon.

JMO, Vols got regionals, don't need to be in doubleheaders.
