Classic, intellectually lazy response. Just because I don’t coach D-1 baseball doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion on the nuances of the game and just because CTV is the coach doesn’t mean he doesn’t/hasn’t/won’t make coaching mistakes.

Maybe because he has 2 pitchers already out indefinitely you think he might be protective of his Friday night starter in a meaningless non-con game in early March? I know they want to win but they’re not going to push out a freshman in game 3.

He was probably on a 90 pitch count and instead of starting an inning and changing right at 90, they elected to change then.

He can still throw 5 innings worth of work? What are you talking about? Opponent doesn't matter this early dude. He's on a pitch count this early and they're sticking to it. Doesn't matter if it's Farragut or the Yankees. Get over it
