I think we are, this game is statistically closer than the score represents. Cam has to have a tired arm. Threw 3 times in 10 days so I felt like that was mismanaged but we've just hit a lot of at'em balls hard that didn't drop.

Disagree, we hit their pitching about as good as they hit us. We've struck out less. They just had timely hitting and we had costly mistakes. It happens but tennessee belongs on the field.

Agree Sewell wasn’t as sharp as usual. Looks like they are experimenting to see if Sewell can fill the role Hunley had last year. First out of the pen in crucial situations and likely pitching 2-3 times per week. He will bounce back.

We definitely belong. A lot of balls were hit hard by us today and they just didn’t fall our way. Also the ump behind the plate was wildly inconsistent. We are a very good baseball team and still have Blade coming back at some point

I thought we held our own through 5 innings. Really impressed with Burns on the mound. He had a stellar performance overall. I wasn’t upset that Coach V pulled him. Even with his great performance, there’s no need to overwork him and he still being gradually eased in.

Our bullpen collectively had a rough outing but they will learn and get better. It happens.

Base running errors proved costly and the defense was shaky down the stretch, but again, it’s a learning experience. Positive is that many in our lineup can still hit in this ballpark. Had chances but didn’t capitalize. The team has now lost just one game to the number 1 team in the nation. There are still two games left with opportunities for Ws.

This is a good measuring stick to see where the team stands. They have shown promise and flashes yet still much room for improvement. There’s still a long season ahead.
