The Official Tennessee @ #8 Alabama Game Thread, 3:30pm ET, CBS

I don't mind the whining if that is what you want to call it. That expectation is what demonstrates to the coach and team that nothing less than winning is satisfactory.

Good point.

I'm not talking about your posts or Yankees. I'm talking about the "cliff divers"

"Get used to six wins"
"I'm glad I saw them Fulmer years, it'll never happen again"
Etc etc lol its hilarious and ridiculous

In my opinion, the gap (which was WIDE) has been closed. There hasn't been a game this season where I've told myself "this is gonna be ugly."

Butch has given Medley plenty of chances to flip the switch. My whole point is kicking the field was a bad coaching decision.Even Butch said they were difficult kicks. My problem is not so much with Medley but with coaching.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. Against a team like Bama, those opportunities to score (even fgs) come at a premium. It showed the confidence Butch had in a defense that was playing well.

Let's not forget the secondary and Justin Martin in particular who **** the bed. Also jancek going with a 3 man rush on 3rd and 6. Clueless.

I saw the three down lineman and yelled at the screen!!!!! However, he left corners on man and brought pressure. Looked like a backer and safety. Just a great play by a great player.

Yeah. Can't really label the defense "clutch"

They are playing better but the difference between good and great...between winning and losing is getting stops down the stretch. This year we have failed miserably in the 4th.
Showing improvement but still can't get over the hump.

Always next year I guess.

Bullock looked just as good as Medley at the open practice. Obviously, that was just one day, but at this point, Medley is historically bad....why not try Bullock a few times....you know what you have with Medley, which is missed kick after missed kick after missed kick.

Agree!

Cliff divers don't bother me. I share their frustration. Just express it a little differently. Each to his own.

It's called auto correct on an iPad. I guess a loser would see it as being ignorant since most aren't very self aware. Let me guess, your the type that believes everyone should get a participation trophy. It's ok honey, you played hard.

Haha. Nope not at all. Can't stand the very concept of participation trophies. However, if you were more "self aware" I guess you would have proof read your post before putting it up. But, let's be honest, you wouldn't know the difference even if you had proofread it.

You appear to live in a zero sum world. Football is not a zero sum game.

Martin got burned badly on key plays. He made the two point play but that doesn't make up for the ones he killed us on.

Disagree. The one big play in Bama's final scoring drive was not getting burned. His feet got tangled and he tripped. Had he not tripped on that play, he had a very realistic shot at the int and winning the game. He showed he is the real deal at CB tonight.

Just to be clear most of the game the coaching wasn't too bad except a couple of calls and the players played their butts off. I'm not being negative just voicing my opinion on a couple of questionable calls.

I thought Cam and Martin both played a solid game today.

Yep...played a solid team tonight on the road and played tough. Not too much to be upset about tonight if you're realistic. I do get excited for next season...I know this one has a ways to go but there's a new attitude on Rocky Top and you have to be blind to not notice,

Go Vols!

Bama made questionable calls too. I thought our coaches prepared the team better than Bama did, but I guess that's where the extra week comess in. Outcoached Richt and did well today, Id say they're good at gameplanning and we'll see whar happena when the team is healthy and better depth. They were a few plays from 6-1... yeah coaching had a hand in that several times, but look at the difference when the team FINISHES and plays better? Coaching looks better.
