If UT can win the next two games, at least it gets you somewhere. NCAA Tourney is thisclose to being impossible without the SEC Tourney. If UT can go on a 8-2 run (And I doubt that's going to happen) it's possible.

If UT goes 8-2 then I'll say hell hath frozen over. This is a 16-17 win team. They're a NIT team. I haven't given up on this season, but it is what it is. We are an offensively challenged team that doesn't play as good of defense as Martin preaches and our ball handling is some of the worst I've ever seen at the Div I level.

The main thing you want to see is the team getting better and some players are getting some PT that normally wouldn't with Maymon and Golden out. That should help out for next year. Martin better get the team to the tourney next year. No excuses.

I'd say they quit in the first Ole Miss game, but in general they haven't quit in a bunch of games where it would have been easy to do.

This just proves to me more and more that last year was fluke beating Ranked teams. Horrible coaching. Reaping what we sow

How are we reaping what we sow? You mean having basically a recruiting class gutted because Pearl got the NCAA breathing down our neck and got himself fired for his own sheer stupidity?

What does this have to do with Dooley? Dooley never took his mid-major team to a major bowl? CCM took a under-talented team to the sweet sixteen...and he can do more with better talent.

And to all the Pearl apologists... He SUCKED his last 2 years. And the year we went to the final 8...we were shocked. It was a team who over-performed in the tournament.

Not to mention...Pearl embarrassed this program. Get over it. He made his own bed. You probably wanted Tressel to take the UT football job.

Considering we told BP we had his back for months on national tv, then sabotaged him a day before our tourney game, I would say yea. Hammy screwed us over and we are paying for it. Martin is gonna be a Dooley 2.0. Everyone is saying the same thing about Martin and its evident he can't coach. We are paying for the stupidity of firing BP. Much like the football mess that followed us canning Phil.

The Show cause came as a result of him being jobless. At worst he woulda been suspended for year at worst and just been in the spotlight for a few years. Schools have kept coaches who have done much worse.

Doubtful. I believe there was an article that came out after the NCAA ruled. I believe they compared the actual consequences to what would have happened if we kept BP. It was hypothetical scenario but it was written with a compliance office worker from the NCAA as a source. Wasn't the hearing in Indianapolis?

So many errors,so little time.....first CCM has never made a NCAA tournament, let alone a sweet sixteen. pearl did not suck his last two yrs bc his second to last yr was the elite eight run.

When are you idiots going to realize the UT Administration left Pearl in the dark before he went into the NCAA meeting. Te problem with our athletics dept starts with Cheek and DiPitrieo. Until a change is made with these 2 clowns, we will continue to suck.

And I don't care what offense we are running. I saw a game where we had tons of good shots...but missed. Good scorers can score in this offense.

In reference to your second comment.......that is the way it looks. Was my earlier comment "knee jerk"?....yes. But we tried the defense first ball with Oneil and we know how that worked out.
