We lost because we didn't play harder than UCONN and couldn't control both Walker and their 3 point shooters. Additionally, we didn't box out on the defensive end and watched UCONN get a lot of putbacks. We should learn a lot from this game. UCONN is a solid team, I think they have a shot at making the Final 4, especially if their big guy improves and gets more touches, he was very effective every time he touched the ball. Lamb is a baller and Roscoe Smith's jumpshot really impressed me, who turned down Duke to go to UCONN. Also, this UCONN team does not have a lot of expectations to meet this year, so they are proving everyone wrong. They can win without Walker going off. I think we held him to his all time low, problem is they have a Hall of Fame coach who had a great backup plan. Jim Calhoun is the only coach I have watched consistently get the best of Coach K.

In regards to UT, Tatum needs a wakeup call and should be benched immediately. They may want to give Maymon one more chance this year because although he can't shoot free throws and makes a lot of dumb decisions he is very tough in the paint.

Props to Goins, great game on his end, Pearl as well. Williams also played hard and needs to be reinserted in the starting lineup. Fields doesn't scare anyone offensively.

Similarly, a big win over Pitt in basketball doesn't mean as much as a big win over a highly ranked team in football. The season is longer, and it's a tournament-style championship. We weren't as insanely good as people thought when the big wins were happening, and we aren't as insanely bad as people think we are now that we've started losing games (sometimes to terrible teams).

We are lukewarm. That's all.

Holding your head up after a loss is an act. These guys are jus not a team, all getting down on one another. They only praise one another when they do something right they need to do it when they do something wrong. I think that's the problem with the team is they don't have EACH OTHER one man cannot pick up everyone. Do you really think after losing someone is proud. Do you see them running up to each other pickin each other up heck no. Brian williams made a game winning shot last game and everyone jumped all over him, but if he would have missed it they all woulda hung their head.
