In between innings I will answer a question from last night about pitching. The question was why the drop off in the second or third year for so many guys. The answer is with the technology today if you are not adding a new pitch or approach the SEC batter will pick you up and hit you after 1 good or 2 years for sure. The new technology allows them to see you pitch so many times and swing with the new stuff against your pitching. One of the greatest things that has helped Kirby is a friend who is no longer playing told him about what their team was watching for last year and he changed it/tweeked it to make it look different and add something new. One scouting report for Kirby from last year that was accidentally left at the stadium said "Good Luck". Everything moves. But it was also interesting to read what it said about other pitchers on our team. And just know that most of us who watch all the games could write a hitting report on most of our hitters or a pitching report on our pitchers. So you have to change or tweek something every year unless youa are just dominate.
