My personal opinion of pitching staff is it seems like they’ve gotten used to the idea of the offense not being able to keep up this season over the past month since the season started.
Having that idea in their heads, it looks like after every run they give up, they start putting more and more pressure on themselves to be perfect. And usually, in most things, that’s going to ensure your failure.
You can see it on all three of their faces when they give up a run. They look like they’re mentally flogging themselves
