I wouldn’t be shocked to see Taylor back at catcher tomorrow. Feel like if we are going to win tomorrow it will be a low scoring contest and Taylor is definitely our best defensive option.

Yeah, I don’t see us doing much against Skenes so we can’t be giving away 5 free bases with passed balls.

Have to say that other than that particular excerpt about Kirby (and his dad), as callous and silly as it is, the rest seems to be a decent and mostly positive write-up (especially for an LSU fan).

Agreed. Other than the cheap shot and their poor attempt at humor, it was actually well thought out.

It’s Gameday!!! I woke up to an orange skyline today. I’ve got a hunch we score a few runs against Skenes over 5 innings and then score a couple more against their bullpen. Don’t know if we will win but if I’ve learned anything about baseball it’s that whenever you expect a low scoring game it turns out to be the opposite. I have no reasoning other than the randomness of baseball.

I only recall you saying that TN will hit Skenes but struggle against the lefty throwing junk. You were complimenting their lefty if anything. Hey, they obviously value your opinion since you and Kirby are in their heads.

From what little I've read about the injury, reports differ. Some say it was minor and this is precautionary. Others say he likely won't go this weekend. My guess would be he doesn't play the field but in the right circumstance, he'd be available to pinch hit. Hate to say it, but I've got a feeling our inexperience is on full display this weekend and it gets exposed. There's just no way to prepare for the environment they're heading into this week. Should be a growing experience. I'm hoping we can play well and snag a win. Just don't want to see another Mizzou type performance. That would be an ominous sign IMO.
