I love the Vols just as much as anyone. But how in the hell has this team regressed this much? I understand replacing the entire field, but making routine plays are a challenge. We gave them 3 extra outs last night and so far we have given them 2 extra outs tonight. Do they not do PFP and practice defensively anymore? And don’t get me started on base running.

I just can’t compare this team to last years and probably won’t ever compare any team to last years.
The ‘22 squad was special and we will probably never see another team like that, IMO it’s unfair to compare any team to them and anyone who does is setting themselves up for disappointment.

I'll take the '21 team - they didn't choke away their home field super-regional.

It’s early in the year and I’m confident this team will be fine and improve as the season progresses. However, I have a bit of concern with our base running blunders and infield errors, including a pop- up. But, maybe it’s nerves for some of these guys.
