It's like investing money. Do you want to invest in a company that will have a short term gain and loss over the long term, or a loss on the short term and gain over the long term?

I've probably given more money to the university than you've made in your lifetime...I apologize to reasoned posters for being so abrupt and rude but people of this ilk bother me....
'losing' at this point in time is a means to an end....its a common practice in sports, business, and life...
Would you give up on your kid's athletic teams this easily? I can imagine you telling a bunch of 8 year olds that they need to give up because they suck but next year may be better because the coach won't be back.
This is not a team of 8 year olds, although the coach does resemble an 8 year old with some of his ingame adjustments.

It's pathetic how big of whiny quitters are on this board. Some people need to grow a pair and act like a man when things don't go right instead of all "I'm taking my ball and going home".
You are right. We should sit back and enjoy losing and underachieving. God forbid, we improve by hiring a new coach.
Did you want Dooley to win towards the end?

Really? If that's the case then you're likely one of the bigger donors Tennessee has, which means you probably have talked to Hart and know exactly where this whole Martin and Pearl thing stands.
