Doesn't matter how much of a first half lead you have or how much Bowden scores when you let your opponent shoot 70% 2nd half. And it's going to get tougher.

There is nothing make or break about this season. I think some of you just like to complain. Everyone knows that Barnes has a good class coming in next year. Would you rather have gone through another coaching search last April?

Some of the drive bys complaining about Barnes are the same ones that went from Pruitt being the worst coach in UT history to we're going to beat Alabama and Oklahoma next season, all based on a winning streak where our best win was Kentucky. We do have some really stupid fans.

(Note: I'm not passing judgement on Pruitt one way or the other, just pointing out the stupidity of some that are whining about Barnes but apparently are impressed with 8-5 in football).

There is no guarantee that the players he has signed for next season are going to play up to their accelerated billing. This current team lacks talent, it is very clear. They can get better but this team will be lucky to win 15 games, which is a major step back from the past few years, Barnes should be reloading at this point, not rebuilding.

Hard road, lose four NBA players, Turner out, JJJ out, Two of your starting 5 not even playing until after January 1. Fulky and Pons grown men one game hardly noticed on the floor the next. Just hope they put on more steam.

Today, Pons, and Bowden were in a fulky.

I would let all three of them walk back to Knoxville to ponder their intensity levels

I convinced the ones complaining about Barnes now have only been b-ball fans for the last year and a half. They didn’t watch the team progress for 4 years and only became fans when we were winning consistently.

Nah, I am a Vol fan and with that I can complain as much as I want about the Vols or celebrate their successes as much as I want. And to state honest facts is not something people should be hurt and sensitive about.

Agree...I'll sort of give Barnes a pass this season even thought it's his team and players he recruited. But for me going forward and being a top 5 paid coach he needs to reload and not rebuild going forward.

Fulkerson hasn’t shown enough strength to average double figure boards but he is extremely efficient offensive player. He has ability to score and hopefully continues to expand his game. He faced up once against Kansas I believe and knocked down a 16 footer and I think he can do more of that. I really like him working more from the high post against bigger players and as a 4 rather than a 5. And low block against smaller players. Next year I bet he will be our 2nd option after Springer which is a more suitable role for him.

I would just limit that to social media and VN. I think most fans are more realistic than what you see posted online. Expectations were low coming into this season, and that was before we lost Turner and realized that Bowden would mostly be a no-show.

Anyone know what the +/- was? Vescovi must have be best. I believe they went on that 10-0 run when he was on the bench after his 3rd fouls.
