I don't think we will riot in the streets or anythingThis is actually interesting to me. You guys do realize that HS players play in this weather every year in the midwest and north. We started every year in 20-30 degree weather and practiced outside from mid February on. I umpired a game in north Ga mountains one year when we played the game with 2 inches of snow on the ground and 18 degrees. They literally blew the lines and had covered home plate and the mound. The rest of the field was covered with snow. It may seem unusual to you but our guys practice outside in 30 degree weather on a regular basis. I do not understand the all up in arms over cold weather. The temperatures at game time are going to be a balmy 41 today and 34 tomorrow. That is not like the antarctic or something.
So glad I grew up in the south. I would have been asking my mom to move every single day. I’ve played plenty of games in the 30s and 40s. Few times in lower temps. Nobody liked it. Had to keep heaters in the dugout. I guess the only good thing is that whenever you get hit with the ball you are already numb so you won’t feel it. Sorry but that’s not baseball weather. That’s football weather. This is actually interesting to me. You guys do realize that HS players play in this weather every year in the midwest and north. Yep, I started softball practice in February as a player and coach in Virginia. We were outside unless it was actually snowing/heavy rain then we were in the gym and hallways. I didn't really enjoy it Still, high 20s, doesn’t sound like fun to play in tomorrow! This is actually interesting to me.
