The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

At this point just clean house, I don't dislike Vrabel but we have some horrible coaches on staff. We are rebuilding, might as well let the next coach build it his way

When I saw our sorry play on offense in overtime and settled for the Titans usual FG I knew we were beat. Titans defense can't stop anybody in nut cutten time.

I’m still not convinced it won’t happen. Despite all these media reports that everything is just rosy between Vrabel and the Titans, there’s been an awful lot of smoke this season saying otherwise. And then I remember how “safe” Mike Mularkey reportedly was about a week before Amy Adams fired him.

Like you, I don’t dislike Vrabel. But something feels off.

He worked in conjunction with Carthon to get Dillard in free agency and the resigning and over paying of Brewer. Both are huge disappointments

Both are guys we can easily move on from without much damage. Of all our roster moves over the last few years those don’t crack the top 50 of worse moves.

Bud Dupree still being my least favorite (I think everyone hear is probably tired of hearing me talk about it)

True, but they’re huge problems this year. The Titans Oline is hot garbage.

The biggest indictment of Vrabel and Carthon is in trying to find a solution at left tackle they ended up paying much more and getting a less productive player. This line is arguably worse than last year's line. I didn't think that was possible.

Paying much more relative to who? Not convinced there were a lot of viable options cheaper. Also what we paid is about right for a LT. He’s not making top 10 salary for the position or anything

Except he's not a Left tackle in this league. He doesn't have the strength or legs. The cheaper guy we ran off because he sucked was better.

It's not about being cheap, is about finding a viable option at a position of great importance. If they were trying to be cheap, fine, I get money is an issue......... But why "upgrade" to a more expensive guy who isn't any better?

The book on this guy was already written, it's not like he was some unknown commodity.

took my son to the game. i was surprised that 10 minutes before the game it was only half full, including the lower level. i had to check the clock to make sure i was accurate. I'm so used to watching the Vols play. it's definitely different.

If anything he’s been the one fighting the destruction of our roster.
He's making and or signing off on these roster moves. That may not have completely been the case under Robinson but he's been involved this year under Carthon at the very least. A lot to overcome but some glaring miscues/misses at DB and O line this season.

He's got a lot to fix, a roster this depleted and during a rebuild is a bad combo. Attendance is already an issue. It's going to take them at least a couple of years to fix issues.

Also Stonehouse having season ending surgery. Will they bring Kern back? Taylor Lewan joked on Twitter, X, he could try out.
