Anybody we drafted outside of the first three rounds was only going to be a camp guy/special team specialist.... Or just a body anyway. You have a solid rotation of 4-5 guys already.Who is going to be left that is good enough to contribute at S and WR? Feels like we are about done on potential contributors?
It helps when they’re already set with solid players or stars at a lot of positions.
Dean hasn’t done anything so far in the nfl. Maybe there was a reason he fell..It’s not just that but every year they seem to do a great job at targeting value. Guys who have dropped in the draft.
This year they got two guys a lot of draft analysis had as the number 1 and number 2 CBs in the draft. Jalen Carter and Nakobe Dean for example. They seem to find great value every year
My only issue is the DT pick in the 2nd round. We reached for a dude that might have weight issues and just got arrested when 2 really good CBs were still on the board. For those that are complaining about this draft which picks are you complaining about?
We replaced one of the big pieces we lost at DT. We improved the O line. We got great value at LB and improved that group. We got a very good one cut return specialist (watch his film) in a year where new rules benefit the returner. Got some needed depth and a couple of developmental prospects who improve special teams at the very least
I don't't see what there is to complain about...... Unless you're just looking to complain.
