The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

He can't play from the pocket. He's as bad if not worse than Levis at reading the field.
He's going to have to learn to play from the pocket. Pure ignorance to to think he can't learn. I don't know what to say about that last comment. Ridiculous. He's a rookie. Made some really good reads but missed on those throws. His ceiling is exponentially higher than Levis.

He never learned in College.

So what? He's got the goods to learn. Making absolute statements about what he can't do is silly with a guy with so much upside and a willingness to learn. Perhaps you have forgotten how bad Manning was as a rookie
I would've had to have been old enough to watch and understand. I was still sitting in my diapers then.

He was hired to bring the franchise into the 21st century. Levis isn't his guy he's just the guy that's here. I think they go QB in this upcoming draft, and outside of Ewers I thinks that's a huge mistake.
It would be really annoying to tie us to another quarterback who can't get it done.

Callahan threw Levis to the wolves today in his presser. He was specifically hired by the owner and GM to coach Levis up. Things are as dysfunctional as ever in Nashville and won't be too suprised to see things get ugly again by season's end with and erratic franchise owner.

He was hired to win games and improve the offense, not to specifically coach up Levis. Levis is still making the same boneheaded decisions he made in college, trying to make something out of nothing instead of simply taking what the defense gives you (which is nothing sometimes).

I want Levis to succeed. But I just haven't seen enough from him to convince me he's any better than Mitch Trubisky.

Even more disheartening about Levis, Callahan specifically talked to him before the pick 6 to tell him the defense can win the game and to not force anything and take the sack.
Unfortunately I think that's just who Levis is, an impulsive thrower in the moment, doesn't think just react. I'm really not sure what he was trying to do in that pick 6. I think he just decided he had to do something. And that's fine if your down trying to win the game......go down swinging. I wouldn't even be that upset at him. But his situational awareness and instincts in the pocket are piss poor right now.

I’m hopeful predicting the Titans rebound at home by defeating a Jets team that has a huge flaw that is they have a 1 dimensional offense so Rodgers being a great passer can’t fix that flaw.

The Titans play a successful full game, Levis is a game manager, and the Titans avoid the self destructive mistakes.

Levis gave up on the play, there was a throw or two to be made but he had already decided to run.

He doesn't extend plays, he panics.

I'm just not seeing good traits out of him, but the o line is really struggling too.

From what I’ve seen of Levis in college and his short NFL career, is that he has the physical talent but needs to play smarter.

One thing I'm noticing is the Titans are tipping their plays run or pass. When they pass their tackles line up at an angle, when running they are square to the LOS.
