You get that helmet crown or facemask into the neck or head area of the QB it gets called every time. NFL put emphasis on that starting last year.

I get it and I'm all for safety but I still dont' think that is grounds for calling it. I'm not really sure what the defender is supposed to do there other than not go full speed to try to get to the QB.

Hit him lower, avoid the head and neck area...... It's as simple as that. They've instructed the players and coaches to that end.

I don't know how in the instance you can, he's running full speed and is getting blocked and is trying to disrupt the pass. You can say it's simple but in that particular instance it wasn't that simple.

Going to have to agree to disagree. If they call it consistently then fine I guess but something tells me they won't.
