Ridley, Boyd, Hopkins.........and nothing to show for it. Not even close to being the worst in the league.

Ridley is back. Resign NWI, draft a guy in the 2nd or 3rd (if we trade down and get extra picks) and get a mid level FA.

get better through the draft and forget about "flashy" FAs.

Agreed. We had a very solid WR core last year. It was good enough to win a lot of games if we had competent QB play. Unfortunately, we ran out the worst QB duo in the NFL.

High end player??

Come on now, Deebo hasn't been a high end player since 2021. He is valuable as a gadget player when he's healthy. But he's not remotely close to a top end WR.

I’m always amazed by our ability to both have one of the worst rosters in the NFL, and our fans to simultaneously hate on every player who would be an obvious upgrade.

There a lot of obvious upgrades who will available in FA and will only cost cash to acquire, instead of cash and a 5th round pick. Godwin, Cooper, Diggs, etc. are all slated to be FAs. And others will likely get cut like Devante Adams, Kupp, Theilen, etc.

Given the success rate of 5th round picks and us being in the top ten in terms of cap space, I think it’s a very reasonable move.

Again, there will be plenty of pickings in FA without giving up a pick. Deebo is at best a #2 WR at this stage of his career. Giving up anything of value for him when we can get an equal or better WR in FA is silly.

It's not a reasonable move because we are a really bad team that needs a lot more than a #2 WR to be competitive. We need picks.

He would be an upgrade.

He would also be a 1 year rental for a team that won 3 games and doesnt have a competent QB currently on the roster....
