The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Does a Steelers loss hurt or help?

Would have helped playoff seeding. I think we are two games back of that 2 seed since we have the division lead. Last I checked we were the 3 seed. I wouldn’t mind getting out of wild card weekend if at all possible. I’ll just be happy to be there this season, honestly.

BTW, Steelers won as time expired 31-28

That was a hell of a game.

I’m not getting picky with things. That said it’s incredible that this team is the 3 seed right now. I just cannot believe that we have the third best record in the afc.

It was man, I moonlight as a Packers fan lol it was good. Missed field goal by Crosby haunted them. I’m definitely surprised with this team, got some room for improvement but I’m happy with them. Be nice if we could get hot and win these next 5 games.

I hope we beat the Texans. I’m going to that game.

I think we could run the table. I do not expect it though.

Here is what helps:

We have the good teams or teams that give us fits at home. I don’t think Nissan Stadium is a big advantage, but I’d rather be at home than on the road.

Our remaining road matchups have won a total of 6 games between them.

What hurts:

There are no easy games in the NFL.

Our quarterback is a liability.

I don’t think we are as good as our record indicates.

Guys let's ease up just a bit on Mariota. He's going through a slump. It happens. The dude is 24.

I agree with this. I rag on him sometimes during the game, but I let my anger get the best of me during game time. He's been a really solid QB for us these past 3 years overall, I just think he hit his sophomore slump a year late. Continuity goes a long with in the NFL (I still think Robiskie needs to go as far as the coaching staff is concerned). We've improved every year with him at the helm and we're building a solid team around him.

Do we want Texans or Baltimore to win?

I think Baltimore is closer to being in the hunt than Texans are. That said, I think the Texans have the tiebreaker against us.

Our style of play also helps as the weather gets worse. If we get into the playoffs it wit be nice to stay out of domes as long as possible.

One would think but this season has proven we have trouble running the ball as a run first team. I think part of that is we're still intent on starting DeMarco than moving Henry into the starting role.

Also after this train wreck of a season and coaching search I'm not going to bad mouth the Titans or Mike Mularkey any more.

I disagree. He's played very well for the most part, especially considering he hasn't been given a ton of opportunities.

I feel like he’s made the most of the opportunities given to him. If he as the feature back the run game just my take a step or two forward IMO

I believe it would. The only problem with Henry is that he has a tendency to try and break a lot of runs outside, which has worked out surprisingly well for the most part. But, stuff like that can get runners in trouble. If he learns to stick to the running lanes a little better and work on his catching he could be a top 5 back in the league in another year or two.

Agreed. There’s some runs he takes to the outside and gets the edge that I wonder how he got it. He seems so slow sometimes but I’m assuming it’s because he’s so tall he’s got those long strides. I just want to see Jackson more involved with the offense as well. That kid is dynamite with the ball in his hands.

Attending my first game since 2013! Can’t wait! Got nice seats, I think! I hope the titans win in an entertaining fashion.

Have fun. I had a blast at the Bengals game even though it was chilly and wet.

Time for the Titans to payback the damn Texans by steamrolling them in the Music City.
