The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Let's make it 1 more with McCarthy as HC?
That’s an interesting thought. I’d like to see how the rest of the season played out before I could say. The players seem to respond to Vrabel positively, as far as I can tell, so I’d hate to see him go if we had some momentum going into the offseason. As far as the OC goes, LaFleur’s play calling has been underwhelming.

Watching Marcus Mariota play professional football has gotten hilarious. The guy is a human paradox.

4 years in and I still somehow have no idea wtf we have in him. This game was a perfect microcosm of his career.

Air McNair, Eddie George, Frank Wycheck, Derek Mason, Jevon Kearse.. anybody I'm forgetting?

Maybe Bruce Matthews?

Not to mention Samari Rolle, Blaine Bishop, Craig Hentrich, Al Del Greco, and I think both Brad Hopkins and Jon Runyan were on that team.

I think if he didnt have to worry about getting knocked upside the head every play, he'd be a hell of a lot more consistent.

Dumbest hire in the history of the sport if that happens. McCarthy failed with supposedly one of the greatest QBs to ever played the game. Stands to reason his failure would be much more with not one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game.

Define “failed”? He’s had a ton of success over numerous years.

So Paul K is saying Vrabel intentionally had too many men on the field on the Jets last drive in order to stop the clock and keep the TO. Either he is secretly an evil genius or incredibly lucky.

Wow what a excellent unforgettable Jets Titans game.

The Jets King of glorious Soul crushers and Heartbreakers had a even more glorious choke mainly because they
dominated the 1st half vs the Titans 16-6 then they would show why they are a last place hapless awful team since they could only score a measly 6 points in the 2nd half, after benefiting from to many Titans on the field the Jets fail to get a needed 1st down late in the game.

Jets are so gloriously awful that even when getting penalties on Titans game winning drive they still can't stop Mariota from running for a 1st more than once that is remarkable awful, and Titans scored a game winning td finally taking the lead extremely late in the game.
Jets still had a enough time to score a game winning td except found the best way to choke a int thrown directly and perfectly to Titans CB Butler because the Jets wanted the big play the deep pass td.
That was the only turnover for the Jets happening at the absolute worst time.

A challenging valiant gritty Titans comeback 26-22 win, and a astounding defeat for the crashing Jets that found more than 1 way in the final minute to snatch defeat from the Jaws of Victory.

Would like to see Jachai end up under Vrabel

18. TENNESSEE TITANS – JACHAI POLITE, EDGE DEFENDER, FLORIDA
While Brian Burns and Josh Allen moved way up from most preseason draft boards, you’d have been hard-pressed to find anyone who had Polite ranked in the preseason. The junior had played 451 non-descript snaps his first two seasons at Florida before bursting onto the scene this fall. In 479 snaps already this season, he’s almost doubled his pressures (38 vs 21

And they forgot to mention 11.5 sacks and 16 tfl’s and 5 forced fumbles this year more then burns

Big one tonight fellas! This is the playoffs for us, now. Let's hope we come to play and put this one away quickly. Gotta win out

Winning out and having Baltimore win only 2 more. I hope we win these next 3 to setup an exciting, winner gets entry into the playoffs with the Colts in Nashville. Could be flexed to a Sunday / Monday night game if that happens.

Gotta make sure the defense ain't on the field the whole game. Lately they've given us some good early starts but our offense is quick off the field. Got to sustain drives.

It feels weird with us having played a game this past Sunday afternoon/evening and 4 days later we have another one. As nice as it is being able to watch your team twice in such a short amount of time, I always thought it would be better if the NFL scheduled bye weeks before Thursday night games. If only for the players sakes.
