The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Y'all ready for tomorrow?!?! It's going to be tough but hopefully we'll be able to come through! I'm letting my optimism shrine through again and say Titans take it 23-20 and win on another last second field goal for the second year in a row

KC is a decent match up I think you guys could definitely win

Andy Reid has a ton of playoff experience tho so they got that going for them along with a veteran quarterback

I’m just gonna put this out there. Delaney Walker has looked soft the past few games. Idk if he is dealing with an injury or what, but he hasn’t looked the same. I would even venture to say he is worried more about how he looks and style points than actually just catching the ball making a play and getting upfield. Cam Newton tried that pretty boy approach and lost him the Super Bowl. Someone tell that man no one cares how he looks on the field as long as he makes the plays. Get tough dirty physical today. Titans need him totally invested and focused in a big way.

Gameday boys. Reports still out there that Mularkey isn’t safe. Sounds to me like anything short of a super bowl run won’t save his job.

If we win today there is just no conceivable way they can justify firing him after this season IMO. Even if it’s a close loss I think it would be a very hard sell.

Now, if we go out and lay a fat egg, and the offense/Mariota looks putrid again, then I might could
see the noise heating back up. But even then it’s hard to justify anything more than an OC change.

Lord knows I’m not a Mularkey guy, and I think he has largely benefited from an easy schedule this season, but organizations don’t just up and fire coaches who break 8-year playoff droughts, especially less than 2 years after taking over a 5-27 team.

If these reports are true, I suspect they already have their guy and have for a while.

I honesty couldn’t care less if we fire Mularkey. He sucks

I actually agree. I just hope it isn't a "playing with fire" kinda thing. I mean who wants to work for an organization that might fire you after the first back-to-back winning seasons in a decade?

I know Mariota has regressed this season, and I am honestly thrilled that the higher-ups apparently have his best interests on the front burner, but it's still hard to ignore the fact that the dude had no offseason and has been mildly injured half the year.

McDaniels would save MM’s career IMO

Also sounds like the Titans are prepared to move on from DeMarco Murray after this season and make Henry the bell cow.

If Murray keeps regressing and having injury problems I'd rather just bring in someone else to pair with Henry.

There's a lot of good backs in this year's class. I'd want one of Sony Michel, Damien Harris, Royce Freeman, or Rashad Penny. Really just depends on who's available in whatever round we may decide to pick one up in.

No on Harris (less talented Henry)
