The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Also if you are betting person and you aren't taking the moneyline on the opposing team when the Titans travel to the west coast, then what are you doing? That was easy money yesterday. Titans generally suck when on the west coast and haven't beat the Chargers on the road since 1990.

Regardless what we end up doing in the 1st round, I wouldn't mind taking a mid round flyer on Dillon Gabriel, at least as a back-up QB. He has experience for days and he's been the most accurate QB in the NCAA over the last 2 years.

I really love the depth of this QB class. There’s going to be guys in the 2nd and 3rd round who have huge potential

I don't see how you can draft a QB this year unless it's early and you think he's your franchise guy. You already have a backup QB level player on the roster with other great needs.

I think Sam Darnold is the play this winter. He'll get the Baker Mayfield contract and will be easy to move on from after year 2 if he regresses. And it allows us to wait till 2026 to draft our future and lets that pick be able to sit for a season and learn.

You have to follow the examples of other teams that win without a "franchise" QB. They have a bunch of really good players around that guy and it works until it comes to situations where the QB has to carry the team. All the while you are looking for that great QB to take you the rest of the way.
Or you can find the next Mahomes or Brady and don't worry about the other guys.
