Hmm. Things just got interesting. Rumor is the Giants want Sanders. Question is do we want Ward? I'm on the fence....he's probably better than Levis though. If we are iffy on Ward I wonder what kind of haul we could get trading back to 7 with the raiders.

I do not understand this ****. Kiffin won 7 games at UT almost 15 years ago and has never won anything since, and still to this day we have fans clamoring for him. Meanwhile CJH just took us to the CFB playoff and some fans want him fired. Never change VN.

Kiffin coaching the Titans and Kiffin coaching the Vols are two very different things. I guarantee whoever the Titans hire will have less experience and offensive acumen than him. It will probably be a much worse retread hire.

It’s probably a moot point because A) I don’t think he leaves CFB and B) if he did it won’t be for the Titans. But we can and likely will do a hell of a lot worse.

People hold his Raiders and Vols tenures against him but that was 2007-2009. It’s almost 2025. I’d take him in Nashville in a heartbeat just to see what he can do. It’s much easier for NFL teams to cut bait with coaches than colleges anyway, so if he sucks, oh well. Next man up.

But why? He hasn't won anything since he left UT. All he had to do to make the playoff is beat an 8 win UF team with a lame duck coach and they couldn't get it done. He is an average football coach. Above average Twitter troll.

His record at Ole Miss suggests he's not an average football coach. It's funny that you hold a UF road loss against him when we can't beat them in the Swamp either. The UK loss at home was really bad, admittedly.

Honestly, I made the initial post somewhat in jest but I think he would be a better candidate than the names that will inevitably be attached to this job once Callahan is canned. We're going to be fishing in pretty murky, stagnant waters. Look at our current coach. We hired a guy with zero head coaching experience who was OC in name only. You can't tell me Kiffin wouldn't be fielding a better offense than him right now.

Pass on Ward.

He struggled against defenses with a pulse and his delivery is long. I'm not a fan of his and don't think his game translates well to the next level.

Sanders game does..... But there are other reasons I don't think he would be a good fit here.

Titans fans would be a lot more up in arms about losing Henry if Pollard had not greatly softened the blow with his production. People can say what they want about Ran, but that was an excellent signing.

RAW, EPA, PAA - all bottom half. PFF is paywall so cannot see. He’s basically middle pack for them at 14 and won’t get better in a year.

He’s not signing here anyway. Bad team in a small market won’t be attractive to a 41yo declining QB who wants attention.

I mean yes but that requires (1) the Giants beating either the Colts or the Eagles (the former of whom will still be in the playoff hunt next week and the latter of whom will still be in the running for the number 1 seed come the final week of the season) and (2) the Patriots beating either the Chargers (still in the playoff running next week) or the Bills (who will still be in the running for the 1 seed if the Steelers upset the Chiefs, however they can't end up lower than the 2 seed).

Though given the nature of the Titans-Jaguars rivalry series, Tennessee will probably end up beating them next weekend and dropping all the way back to the 8th overall pick.
