Why did you change your username to DrunkJohnny, Muschump? At least the avatar isn't repulsive now.

Hasselbeck hasn't been good the last two games, but it's premature to be calling for Locker. Locker gets time only if the team is not in contention. I know it's difficult to believe considering the past two whippings, but the Titans are still very much a player in the AFC South. If they continue to play like they have against the Steelers and Texans, though, they'll fall out of contention end soon.

On CJ, Ringer made comments after the game that essentially pointed the finger at the OL, too. He threw the team under the bus just as much as CJ did. So, maybe Harper wouldn't make a difference since the blocking has been so bad. One thing I do know, though, is that the Texans weren't cramming the box to stop the run. Seems like they just whipped the OL up front. Houston had two safeties deep most of the game.

Well with no running game teams were going to tighten up their pass coverage. CJ isn't the same, but there are a few things below that i think are contributing factors.

You used to see him make the first guy miss. Not happening and he's getting run down by way bigger guys. Not looking good there. Not being in camp didn't do him any favors. Looks slower and hesitant.

I'll say there are a few other things liker the interior of that line isn't real great. Amano and Harris just aren't that good to start with, serviceable maybe. The other thing is letting Blount get out of here last year. CJ needs a guy like him to soften up the defense. One more thing is VY. He was mobile giving you 3 options back there. It's just not the same so why expect the same? Bad move on the Titans signing him that long. Runningbacks are a dime a dozen and most teams are going two back and not paying out much for them.

I'm not going back to a game there. I bought season tix the year they came in, but had zero offers for my psl's so I just stopped buying the tix. They are still doing the same crap on the jumbotron. There is no enthusiasm in the stands and none created by the Titans marketing team.. I spent $130 to park, watch millionaire players mail it in, drink 4 beers and eat a chicken sammich. Plus, I missed a day hanging out with the fam, watching the red zone, eating $20 of wings, and playing front yard ball.
Eff em, and eff cj. He's playing like he just got paid and is pulling a haynesworth.

I'm guessing this is an "inside joke" I'm missing here. This is the first avatar I've had.

Hasselbeck just isn't good. Look his stats in the Jacksonville game 260 yards passing, 80 came on one play. Again, How much money is he making compared to CJ? He's throwing too many interceptions. He's missing wide open recievers. Looking at his past 3 years should have told us what to expect.

2010 - 12 TD 17 INT
2009 - 17 TD 17 INT
2008 - 5 TD 10 INT

Dude is just not good. He's mediocre. Just like this entire team.

1) Didn't see CJ and Ringers quotes on the OL, link?

2) Watch the defense next game, every time CJ is in there will be two players on him every. single. play.

Nate Washington is going to have to get involved. Why in the hell does Hasselbeck target Williams every time he goes back to pass? Teams will continue to play CJ because he's the only player on our team that can scares them now that Britt is out.

I couldn't agree more. Especially with the jumbotron comment.

Even though the sample size is small I think it's been proven that missing trainning camp is abysmal.
Look at Farve last year, CJ right now has had one amazing game the Browns, and one running td. I think this could be one of CJ's worst years.

They should have traded CJ the min he held out. They should put him on the bench everyone is keyin on him and besides we run the same stinking running plays week end and week out for cryin out loud

Just over 100 yards hardly qualifies as "amazing." He's had one good/great game.

Everyone on this team has played like **** every game outside of a couple for Britt and Hasselbeck. Why does CJ catch all the hate?

Because CJ claimed he was a playmaker, not just a running back. If he's a playmaker he shouldn't get tackled by the first guy every time he touches the ball. Regardless of how bad the line is blocking.

Now that things aren't going well, he wants everyone to know, he's just a running back and can't do anything without help, not exactly what he was selling when he held out.

What's with Nashville teams and poor marketing? The Preds do the same thing. Fang fingers, seriously?

I've been wondering this myself. CJ is not the reason we're losing games. Typical Titans fans prefer to whine about anything and everything whenever the slightest thing goes wrong.

If anyone needs to ask why CJ is getting the criticism then I have to question a few things. Is there something wrong with you that impairs your ability to store long term memories? The guy just held out for more money and now he isn't performing better than a lot of players signed for the league minimum. The playmaker should make a few plays. He has done nothing to really help the team at this point. Is it all his fault? No. Did he bring this on himself? Hell yes.

In general, a player who was a holdout the previous offseason will get more flack from fans for not doing well or things going wrong...it tends to be how the psyche of the average NFL fan works

People worry about LeGarrette Blount way too much. He's not that awesome and probably wouldn't make that much of a difference for us.

CJ has played terribly. The run blocking has been really bad, too. The second he got huge money he got a big target on his back. If you get paid to be the man, you're expected to produce like the man. Matt Forte has one of the worst OLs in football and he's having a career year. Guess what? He wants a huge contract.

And DrunkJohnny, I understand that's the only avatar you've had for that username. I was referring to your Muschump username and wondered why you're not posting under that one anymore. No issues, though. I was just curious!

We should have included reverse incentives in CJ's contract. -$10,000 for every yard under 1,600 this year.

He might wind up paying the organization.

here's a blurb about CJ from an impartial fantasy football writer

ALL SPAZ

FIRST TEAM

Chris Johnson – He held out for more money, missed the entire preseason and now appears to be stealing money from the Titans. He has the balls to claim that he isn’t the problem. Really? Maybe being ranked in the top 30 in rushing yards would be a positive first step. Teams with Johnson are almost surely struggling unless they’ve benched him.

Because he is running like a p*ssy after cashing in and he is going down very easily. There are a ton of past Titans players in town and there is a lot of rumbling about his effort.
Watch him run 2 years ago and watch this year. Not the same effort, speed or strength.

Boy that interview just about sums it up. Someone should have come in there and yanked him out of there. The Titans management is pitiful.

I guess. Chris Hope, Matt Hasselbeck, and Eugene Amano could all use a significant pay cut as well. I'm just not sure blaming the Titans problems on 1 player is logical. At all.

They all suck. Specifically Hasselbeck, who the Titans are paying 21,000,000 for some reason.

...and even the texans admitted (Cushing, wade phillips, etc) postgame that he had a target on him everytime he takes the field (they made sure wherever he went, cushing followed...sometimes 2 guys). When your team can't pass consistently enough to warrant a threat and every team treats your RB the same, noone in this league can or will succeed in that situation

Get that you're upset he wanted more money - to anyone outside the league, holdouts appear solely to be greed - but putting any and all blame just on him (or on "being a p---y," "not playing not that he has his money," etc) is just erroneous....this team is having problems all over, both sides of the ball
