The Official Tennessee vs. #2 Kentucky Game Thread, 12pm EST, ESPN

Stokes play makes me have a lot of hope for making the tourney if we can win this one. He brings a different dimension to our team. Improved defense, rebounding, and offense to.

Said Stokes was still moving on the charge and to compound the bad call the ref had rabbit ears to call the technical

Which is pretty much exactly what happened. The charge was a tough call, but it was borderline. To T up Cal from across the floor was bad.

We don't know how Cal was acting and how many times he was warned to calm down. I don't have it in me to call it bad because of that.

Raw athleticism means as much as anything in college/NBA. You can teach better habits/technique. You can't teach someone to jump out of the gym. I'm mad he didn't dish it to stokes for a dunk that would have erupted the place, but he didn't put up a bad shot, just had an unlucky roll.

UK will pick up the pressure in the 2nd half, watch for a 1/2 court press. We need to attack it with Stokes and Maymon inside. Those guys are going to be a formidable duo and look like they already enjoy playing together.

Ok, my goals of moderating my drinking to make the game have failed miserably. It's 3 Am here in Korea, I have my steam up. Anyone willing to give me a quick recap of the important parts of today's game?

That maybe true but I do agree that it was a bad call. It looked like the UK player was airborne and Stokes was still sliding in under him. I'll take it...but if it was the other way around I'd be pissed.

+1. The most missed call in sports is the charge. If you read the rules, about 70% of the charges called are actually blocks. That play was a prime example, but I'll take it.

Does Gotlieb look high to anyone else?

True. Still kind of odd to see a T called from clear across the floor. Probably was a cumulative thing though.

We're up by 6 at the half of course it's the ref's fault. I've never seen anyone in Gottlieb's position say anything like that. "The ref compounded the problem by calling a technical"? That was seriously horrible even for a douchebag on ESPN.

Be happy to:

Stokes is/will be a beast.
UK shot terribly from field.
Calipari is a bit*h.

Vols up by six at the half. Stokes made his debut and has been absolutely more than anyone could have expected. Kentucky is struggling mightily with Stokes and Maymon inside, surprisingly. ESPN is butthurt.

Uk tried to press to start the game that is when we jumped out to the early lead on 3 quick easy buckets.

I agree but if I was the official and I said "one more time and I'll T you up" and he does something I warned him on, I would call the T from the urinals because I warned him. Cal isn't a great example of court side composure either.
