This is not a typical Sunday for the BaseVols.

After the Vols won yesterday, Vols fans everywhere planned to watch this game. Many got in the car and drove to Birmingham. Many don’t watch college baseball at all. Some have never been to a baseball game. They all want to be a part of a championship for the school they love. My guess is this team will see more orange in one place than they’ve ever seen before. I hope they enjoy it all.

I imagine this game day thread will be much the same. Lol. It won’t be typical. So I’ll just say now GBO and enjoy the game.

I concur with Wilkerson and over heard some Arkansas fans yesterday whining about us never having this many here in the past and in essence calling us bandwagon. How unintelligent do you have to be to not grasp the concept that you wouldn’t expect 5k Tennessee fans in the past if their team wasn’t playing? Did 5k people drive in from Arkansas in 2016 when the Hogs were sitting at home at 7-23 in league play?

He's only pitched 17 innings all year. Strikes people out and walks them, too. 5.2 ERA is one full point higher than Heflin.

He isn't a starter, his MO is one or two innings. I'm guessing the pigs will do this by bullpen committee, one or two innings at a time per pitcher, hoping to have the lead or tie for Kopps at the 8th or ninth inning,

heh...I caught Chick Graning smoking a cigarette...I was sneaking around trying find a place to smoke one myself. We managed to win the game in Jackson. Long way back to Oak Ridge but it was a great ride.

This is a reminder to myself before the alcohol kicks in that no matter what the outcome of the game is today, there is an immense amount to be proud of. Win or lose, it's going to be okay. GO VOLS!
