Just can't go high with any elbows whatsoever. It's a little sketchy when there's a height differential like that, but that's the rule.

Didn't they modify the rule this year? I think now they determine whether the contact was accidental or not. I believe an elbow to the head used to carry a more severe penalty. I may be wrong about this though.
