What happened?

Samford down 5-3, runners on at least 2nd and 3rd, maybe bases loaded, 2 outs. Grounder to 2B, but bad throw and runner is safe at first, one run scores, but the first baseman throws to 3rd where runner was off the base and they tag him out to end the game.

Lots of times in the game when both coaches were making huge decisions. CTV bringing in Burns with us down and a runner in scoring position may payoff going forward too. That was an "I believe" moment, and the players top to bottom kept going.

The Committee doesn’t rank 2-seeds. In their eyes, all 2-seeds are the same.

Nope. The committee doesn't truly seed teams after 1-16.
If two unseeded teams move forward both submit a hosting plan and they choose who hosts.

As others have said, there is no seeding for #2 seeds. The NCAA does look at RPI for the top 16 seeds. Currently, we are #14 and Southern Miss is #22 (for what that’s worth).

If they have the least amount of losses, so if Tenn wins next game, I believe Tenn hosts. Because So. Miss already lost in the NCAA, they can't host unless the remaining team has an equal number of losses, then it right to host goes through a series of if-then-elses.

What does pitching look like? Beam, Sewell, Connell, Fanning, Secrist...i doubt Celmpsun or Carlotte can roll something that level out. Halvy might be able to be used in a pinch as well
