I don't recall Maymon ever getting a technical. My guess it was built up frustration. When the calls aren't consistent, that happens when a terrible one is made. That is on officiating. It has been inconsistent all year, and the head of officials should know this.

I used to officiate kid rec league games. All I wanted to do was give effort and be consistent. If the kids don't know what to expect, then how can you learn the game? I have coached a little, too and was only on officials who were lazy and didn't care. It is very frustrating.

They had some bald dude playing point though. He was pretty good. He tried to drag them single handily to a win in the ACC tournament. He would have probably been a useful part of the U.T. team this season.

Yep, I hope he feels good about taking what was a great game between two really good teams and making sure his call helped determine who would win. Should have let it go. Can't stand refs that love to T up players and coaches that don't deserve it.

In the first round 8/9 play each other.

And a 16-seed has never beaten a 1-seed in the first round.

11-seed plays 6 in the first round, and the winner of 3/14 in the second round.

11 seed is much more desirable than 9 imo.

Never hear there was a post season ban that went with the show cause. Not sure you're correct about this. We could have kept Pearl and probably fought the NCAA over the 3 year show cause but we had Administration with no gonads.

You obviously didn't watch enough UT basketball the last two years. Golden is not a good PG. Move on.

Fair. But we really need to respond better when faced with adversity. We play well when things are going out way, but have a hard time picking ourselves up off the mat. Jmo.

Not everything that happens on the floor is the coach's fault. He's the coach, so it's his responsibility, but it's not his fault when players begin to break down in execution. Obviously, we saw some poor shot selection from our team and I believe certain player(s) could have and should have taken more of a lead in the last 5 minutes, but the coach cannot make that happen. You're not going to bench Stokes under 5 minutes because he's not using his physicality the way he should. Coaching only goes so far before it falls on the players to execute. And for those still throwing Pearl's name around, somehow believing he would have gotten more from these players, Bruce had underachievers as well. *cough* Scotty Hopson *cough*

Nope, Indiana lost 1 scholarship and had some recruiting restrictions. They were placed on probation but with no additional penalties.

They were terrible because all of Sampson's players left / were kicked out of school.

I disagree. At the time, the NCAA would have absolutely hammered UT for keeping him after giving him a 3 year show cause
