I'd like to see UT play a more effective zone tonight and push the ball in transition. Otherwise feed the paint. I think we'll be ok.

what coach fox has done with this team really has been amazing. kcp was soo impt to this team last year and we had a lot of guys who just didn't know how to play together without him and frankly a number of guys who lack a lot of confidence. it took them time to gain confidence and become comfortable this year and things started clicking once the sec play started. i had written fox off before this year started and was already thinking about who would be our next head coach so to say i am surprised by our play so far in the sec this year is an understatement.. i have been shocked. i only wish we had parker and gaines healthy for the auburn and vanderbilt games.. gaines would have been a difference maker in both those games.

You just have to be concerned with his recruiting. He seems to be a good floor coach, but KCP is the only big recruit he has gotten. Georgia is loaded with talent every year. While Fox deserves alot of credit, the unbalanced schedule was favorable, too. UGA played at UF and at UK, which are probably losses anywhere, so they got teams like OM, Bama, and Vandy at home. Plus, USC and MSU are two of the five home and homes.

The one issue I see for UGA is that your strength is also UT's strength. UT has been very good on the boards and should be able to neutralize UGA's rebounds. It sounds like a zone should be played against UGA, but UT also had trouble rebounding in the zone against UF.

i don't see you guys neutralizing us when it comes to the boards.. since sec play just 1 team has out rebounded us and we tied florida and out rebounded everyone else. i think that's an area where we can do damage on the offensive glass if you guys stay in zone all game. it will be interesting to see how our strength verses your strength matches up tonight. coach fox was talking about our team having confidence in themselves and i don't doubt we start off slow tonight. however the one thing we have done very well in this 4 game winning streak and for most of our sec schedule is coming out after halftime. mark fox has done a great job of getting guys refocused and we played much better in the 2nd half of games.

i haven't seen a whole lot of volunteer games, how have you guys played after halftime in most games?

Georgia comes in at 8-4 and 3rd place in conference. If Conzo refuses to use the 1-3-1 zone to win out the season his job is gone. He is really going to be defending his job with the zone defense. How ironic is that for the man-to-man guru? It has been shown to be Tennessee's shut down defense. Florida did not score in 7 minutes off of it! Strategically used with the man-to-man it will transform the Vols into a championship team!

that is a concern with coach fox regarding his recruiting. i haven't looked at it, but tonight's game i am sure the vols have a lot more star talent than uga does and it's probably not close.. we only have 3 stars or lower on this squad. fox's questionable future in georgia is only hurting us more with recruiting. There was a kid who is a heck of a prospect who wants to play for fox committed to uconn and a big reason was due to fox's future in athens being in question.

fox hired an assistant on jonas hayes who is doing a great job and is going to be a huge asset in recruiting, but fox's future needs to be addressed in one way or the other before we get any recruits to jump on board for the 2015 class.

I am a VFL and I want the BB program to be competitive again. My opinion, to make that happen is CCM needs to leave. I supported him for 2 plus years but this year (year 3) he has proven he cannot win at this level with quality talent.

With that said, they best for the program right now is for CCM to leave as soon as possible. To hurry this Georgia needs to beat Tennessee. GBO!

Curious to see how the players come out and play. Are they throwing in the towel? Have they quit on Zo? Tension between teammates?

Here's how it will play out : UT makes a run, hits a three to take the lead, Cuonzo immediately takes a timeout which leads to a 8-0 run for Georgia to win the game .

Then, there's a mad dash to the RPI thread to see how UT could still make the tourney.

So, UT is a -9.5 favorite? Either that's a sucker bet or Vegas hasn't seen how Martin does against Fox.

I agree. I think some of them are at the point of all three mentioned. With the circumstances the way they are, I just can't see this team winning enough games the rest of the way to squeak into the tournament. Tonight will be very interesting.

Record should be better than it is. CCM has to shoulder that, but win this and go at least 4-5 finishing out he'll have my wholehearted support.

They lose tonight and it's gonna get really ugly. I could see a Dooley like collapse, and a complete embarrassment down the stretch.

This is what I am interested in.

This should be a relatively easy win. If they are prepared and wanting to win. What will their energy be like?

Let's just say making adjustments aren't our staff's strength. We are so inconsistent though. We lose a 14 point halftime lead to A&M, and then we play a great 2nd half at Alabama. We also played terrible in the second half at UK and at UF. It could get interesting if it's a close game.

I am guessing you are looking at SEC only stats. The only ones I could find on the SEC website are for all games. But, UT is second in rebounding margin, second in offensive rebounds, first in defensive rebounding percentage, and second in offensive rebounding percentage. That is much of our game.
