This couldn't be more wrong. The team played pretty well. The same thing that has hindered UT all season showed up again. That is bad QB play. You say the kicker lost the game but it was the defense that forced the long FG. The score doesn't reflect how well the UT team played because of the bad QB play. They handled IU pretty soundly, had the terrible INTs never happened and scored TDs inside the 10 the score wouldn't have been close. This team will be a contender with a good QB.

I can get on board with that. They underperformed. Especially at QB. He cost us a lot. The first half should’ve been a blow out. I hope HB can be is good as everyone is hoping he will be. However I’m not sure if I expect him to start year 1. I hope he’s good enough to.

8 wins was the consensus pick back in preseason. It happened. Boo yah!

Walking out of the stadium after that game has changed the day. What an absolute thrill of a comeback and then superior ending to a game that I did not think we were going to win but our coach and all the other coaches and these players had the heart to get in there and work and win the game. I have NO voice from cheering so loudly but that’s good. Go VOLS!!!

This Qb switching back and forth is not going to work next year and destroy the morale of many of the UT’s Qb’s. I bet both Maurer and Shrout will transfer. Shame if it happens.

That is their choice. Neither should be the future. HB will take reigns by year 2 at the latest... most likely split with JG next year.

Celebrate if you want. Winning is certainly better than losing. But bottom line is that did nothing for our program. Some how we found a way to regress with extra healing and practices. Something is off. Whether it be talent, coaching, drive, I don’t know. That kicker lost the game for IU more so than us winning. A W is a W. But it does nothing for the program. That’s just the truth. It wasn’t convincing. It was terrible to watch. It’s not like we scraped by a win against some good team. It was IU. It should have been 21-24 to 3 at half.

It's a win... all wins help the program. It's not a fine line between winning and losing... there is a big difference.

Bailey should start from day one if he's even half of his billing, and if he's not start Maurer or Shrout. That nonsense tonight was ridiculous. JG almost single-handedly cost us that game. Just wretched.

I don't know what it is, but I guess I'm pretty superstitious. I only managed to start watching the game after half-time. We start losing and so I stopped watching...then we come back to win it. So whenever we started doing bad, I just turned it off and hoped everything went well. Then I could come back and watch later.

The play wasn’t anything to be proud of. It didn’t bode well for the future. Somethings is off. Players, coaches, I don’t know. And I sure hope they figure it out over the off season. We were a bad IU kicker away from living another Ga. state, BYU adventure. He missed a fairly short FG, and a XP. We really did nothing well other than defense playing decent. I’ll take the W and be happy about 8 wins. But I also won’t kid myself and jump on the “we’re beating OU wagon”. Open your eyes.

You should take ur ball and go home. If u don't believe we have a chance to win any game we play then I challenge whether ur a true VOLS fan. We can beat anyone, we may not but that is why u play the game.
