I never said we had someone on the bench who could do it, because I agree with you we don’t. But with a healthy Turner playing today instead of Vescovi we would have had a better chance of winning. Unfortunately, we don’t have that luxury anymore. Bone def could have done it though, had he stayed.

Turner had not been the same player this year bc of his shoulder both from a shooting and TO perspective. It hurt.

Look, I’m not saying Vescovi is a bad looking player. I’ve said multiple times I liked what I saw from SV and his potential. But whoever is playing PG can not have 9 TO’s and still expect us to win, bottom line. You really need to study assist/TO ratios a little more and how important that is for a PG. Turn it over that many times, and it makes those 18 points less meaningful.

You act as if said Vecovi should be benched for someone else on the bench, and I never said that. I just said he needs to improve on his TO’s if we expect to win any meaningful games

A healthy Turner? He hasn’t been healthy for 2 yrs. Turner is gone. You don’t have that luxury. You said you “didn’t have to give up the 18 pts” that someone else playing could score them. I asked who. Now you admit no one on that bench can do it so. Now you’re backtracking.

Hey the kid is 18, been here 1 week. I think he has a huge adjustment ahead of him. But he showed more talent and confidence today than any player Tennessee had on the floor.

BS. Now you are just making things up. Not to mention you have the vocabulary of a 5th grader if you compare my posts to yours. I never once said another active PG on our roster could score the 18 points. I challenge you to find and quote where I said that because it didn’t happen. I said “I would TRADE/TAKE 10-12pts with 2 TO’s, for 18pts and 9 TO’s all day every day.” As in I would rather those be Vescovi’s numbers. Anyway, have a nice night Popovich, you seem to know everything. Time to go out and chase skirt

I haven't really seen an SEC team we can beat on the road unless Vescovi doubles his assists, cuts his tOs in half, maintains at least 12 pts in scoring, Bowden gets back on track and we wake up on defense. that has to happen before MZ.

I think defensively we may need to run more zone to help Vescovi on the defensive end .. he will have to work his way to try to learn how to guard the quickness in this league .. but zone will help .....

It is very surprising to me that Tennessee has not had a lot of basketball lettermen from Mississippi or Louisiana in their history.

Wonder why that is?

Lmao. That’s about the lamest insult I’ve seen here. But nice job arguing the point. Was I wrong? Did Barnes do a good job recruiting in 2017 and 2018? No. What’s the biggest problem with the team? Talent. So it’s relevant.
