I give Vols fans that travel there a LOT of credit. I'm a little afraid for the Vols fans that choose to go there. I hope they have a Winnebago, so they don't have to deal with poorly run, poorly maintained hotels. Even with that, I'd suggest some taking some Lysol wipes and spray with them and offer it to the team if they forgot theirs.

I'm mildly concerned for the players health because of mold and mildew exposure.

Is there a color for that? Because I really am somewhat concerned for the team. and not being COMPLETELY sarcastic.

VolNation, we're going to need a quorum on a new color for being somewhat sarcastic.

I'd like to point out that in our last away games, the team chose NOT to wear the away Gray uniforms. I assume that was done with forethought and planning and that we WON'T be seeing those uniforms again.

players get to pick and fairly certain you will see lots of Black this weekend, however the heat may play an issue with the Black tops

The heat is concerning. I hope the players take that into consideration when picking their uniforms.

To be fair, I got the undated image from Google Maps, which could be a few years old. I don't want to mis-represent the field so here is the most recent dated image from Google Earth dated November 2020 (in upper left) where the field looks much better:

In that part of the world, with games scheduled in the late afternoon- we know game(s) will be delayed or stop with lightning within 8 miles of the field.

With most teams, interruptions would favor the Vols with the insane bullpen depth. However, USM coach has proven recently that pitcher health is of less importance and may have a guy back on hump after a 5 hour delay.

And think about crowd energy after such a delay. Of course, the Vols feed on negative crowd energy so maybe it will hurt UT as well?

I expected a disjointed weekend. I hope the team is prepared and ready. If they expect it then there's no reason it should bother us. It's not COMO and 25 degrees afterall.

@taylorvol Thanks for the hook up in Clemson! The high top seats with a dedicated server while perched over the Vols dugout were a hit for my kids (and for my buddy and I too). Best seats I've ever had at any baseball game. Great memories! Thank you sir! Hope to see you again next time you're in town!
