For those who don't know the game well:

You can't set a warm arm pitcher for this long. They'll have to go to their pen. Because we were likely to be in the pen anyway, this favors the Vols.
No it doesnt, he was rattled a little. Our hottest hitter up. This gives them a huge advantage to get out of this.

I guess I feel different than everyone else. After Moore whiffed at that pitch, I felt a strikeout was all but certain. The lightning delay allows him to calm down and get his head ready for the next pitch. We were terrible and have hit 1 ball ALL DAY.

We know that. But the best inning we have had with the hottest hitter we have had comes back to a new pitcher. Pitcher wins that battle 98 percent of the time. May help in the next inning or later but that’s just hopIng. You have a kid just now through the lineup for the 2nd time and he starts to miss and struggle. How is it an advantage?

C-Mo with two strikes against a guy who we can't tell any difference between the heat and the change up. Some of y'all.....lol.

Like there's no pressure on a new pitcher to come in and not walk the bases loaded for Burke to tie it up.

Long term this delay is probably good for Tennessee. But short term I’ll just have to disagree with you. The delay advantages pitching. For Moore to come back with 2 strikes on him and having to protect the plate against a new pitcher he won’t have seen, it’s asking a lot for him to not strike out. He’ll have zero chance to feel the at bat out. Maybe he crushes one on the first pitch, but it certainly will be a lot tougher for him.
