I think it depends, An hour or less and I think they run the same guy back.Long term this delay is probably good for Tennessee. But short term I’ll just have to disagree with you. The delay advantages pitching. For Moore to come back with 2 strikes on him and having to protect the plate against a new pitcher he won’t have seen, it’s asking a lot for him to not strike out. He’ll have zero chance to feel the at bat out. Maybe he crushes one on the first pitch, but it certainly will be a lot tougher for him.
We were both 2 seeds that won their respective regionals. It could have been played at either park, but the NCAA looks at both teams and decides based on who they think deserves (has earned) the home field advantage. Sometimes other factors play into it like stadium size, hotel availability, etc, but if one team is ranked higher, they almost always get the home field.I have no idea what this means. Should we have more fans there?
So. Here me out. You wouldn’t rather give CMO, the hottest hitter we have had, a chance against a pitcher that has given up a hit, hit batter, and thrown more pitches in this inning than combined through 3, a chance to bat with a 2-2 at that moment? Have you seen our first pitch approaches? Any good coach will call a strike and we will watch it. I’m sorry, but I disagree whole heartily and not even playing around here that it hurts us worst than helpsNothing to say that wouldn’t have happened without a delay.
Point of delay us giving Vols a chance to reset.
For those who don't know the game well:
You can't set a warm arm pitcher for this long. They'll have to go to their pen. Because we were likely to be in the pen anyway, this favors the Vols.
