USM was higher than us in the polls, we are higher (by a few spots) in RPI. For all intents and purposes, these are two “even” teams. The “other factors” including USM can add 1500 more SRO seats than we can PLUS the “feel good story” about their coach retiring, likely pushed them over the top.

Better venue at Knoxville should’ve pushed us over the top. Hattiesburg sucks
