He literally said that because he wanted us to think we coulld win easily and then Vandy could upset us. He stated that when he said Vandy would win yesterday a lot of other sports "experts" also picked Vandy. Then Bruce Pearl would be able to motivate the team by saying " oh look, we are number one in the nation and still can't get any respect" and then blow out Vandy. So now he is trying the reverse psychology technique...

Guys we have way too much depth for Vandy... BOTH teams are playing on two days rest... and i'm looking for an end to this game that is very similiar to the ending of the UT v FLA game... they'll be gased at the end

I think the start of this game will dictate the pace and hopefully its in the Vols favor.

Vandy is better than Memphis. IMO so we need to play better than we did over the weekend.

72-70 Vols in a nailbiter.

Then we will stomp Kentucky by 30. Paybacks a b@#**

Just picked up the tickets I bought off Ebay today!! Can't wait to be there for the first Tennessee team ranked #1 to take the floor!! I think Tyler will go off tonight!!

Actually, I think UT will be really fired up to keep the #1 ranking and run Vandy out of their gym. That game could get ugly early. UT by 17!

Good news: Regardless of what happens tonight, if we do really well in the tourney, we will still be a 1 seed.

The bad news: I think Vandy is VERY capable of beating us tonight if for no other reason than the game is in Nashville in Memorial Gym.

Vandy has been playing well, they just beat Kentucky by 40, who we lost to. They have beaten the last 3 #1 ranked teams to come to Memorial.

But it should be fun to watch. This one will be tougher to win than Memphis, IMO.

Look for another brutally tough game, second in a row for the Vols. This will not be pretty to watch. Hope for a one point win and get the hell out of there. Style points will not be accumulated tonight.
