I really think people believe that Reese can shoot because he hit a couple three's last year against Xavier in his first game with significant minutes.

He's not a shooter.

We do that with most of our back ups, especially young ones.....Just look at Darius Thompson and AJ Davis......I agree both show alot of potential but right now DT averages 3.6 ppg and 2 assts while AJ averages 2 ppg and 2 reb.

The same thing happened when Yemi first started playing as well.

This board is hilarious. I sat there in the 2nd row tonight and watched us run the exact same plays we've run all year, get the same open looks we've had all year, and for the most part, play the same defenses we've played all year (albeit a little more zone than usual). Literally the only difference between this game and the XU and WSU losses is that our shots went in...
...and suddenly we have a good team and good coach again.

News flash: CCM did nothing differently in this game than he did in the frustrating losses. The players executed - that's the difference. When the shots go in we win. If the very same shots had gone in at X or WS, we'd have won those too.

Neither AJ or Reese can guard true 4s and 5s. They are both wings playing down low due to not having any legit big men besides Stokes and Maymon. And they struggle against good height.

Where we really struggle is against length. Those guys built a lot like McRae but 6' 9" or taller. Our guys are a load inside, but those guys with hops and really long arms give us trouble.
