He was a perfect motivator for the big games. He Something I don't think Coach Martin is. There were lesser games that he seemed to have trouble getting his guys motivated to play.

That game ranks right at the top of my student experience. I almost didn't go. I'm sure glad I did.

He doesn't seem to be the quickest study. I was pleased with the changes he had made the last 3 games. Today he took a step back.

It's almost as though Martin cares about his appearance on the court too much and doesn't wanna look "dumb." Pearl would just be screaming with his epic suspenders on and giving his players an ear full. I can still picture it.

ESPN2 hates us. They knew we'd lose and many would want Pearl back. So what do they do? They have him on call for the next game on the station.

My football team got slaughtered a bunch this year and I don't think the officials had anything to do with it. Do I think the officials completely lost the game for us? No. But they did play a role. Every time we got some mo, the officials took it away. The first when McRae made the monster jam by calling a T. He never got even close to a player.

They continually allowed WS to play aggressively while at the same time taking our aggressiveness away through foul calls. You belive what you want.

I can't remember specific instances, but I am pretty sure there were times Pearl would get T'd up and the team would respond and play better. Imagine that.

They said it was for cursing which is more than a reasonable reason to get a "T". But yeah I agree, the refs messed up the flow of our game everytime we got going. Very frustrating.

Feel bad for coach, but I just don't think he is a big time coach. Good guy, but average coach. Our offense just doesn't seem to have any cohesion. Too much schoolyard playing with no apparent coordination between players. :p:pJMO

Yeah that definitely happened quite a few times. He also painted his freakn chest and showed up to a lady vols game. (I know I bring this up regularly, but cmon, that is just freakn' awesome)
