I'd say Cuonzo is directing this at Stokes and Golden and why he sat them on the bench for a long stretch. We might be able to withstand one of them having an off night. Never would've thought we would win with both looking disinterested and otherwise a non-factor for most of the game.

You realize how bad the SEC is right?

People keep saying we can't do this, yet we did it and won against UMASS, Wichita State and Xavier. Those 3 teams are better than half the SEC teams.

It won't be until next year, but we'll be much better offensively when Hubbs gets here. Reese looked promising today. He won't be on the level of Hubbs, but Reese can play the 2, 3 or 4 as Martin said tonight. If Maymon comes back this year or next, we'll be 10 points better a game.

true but Ky and Fla and Mizz that is 6 games they can lose with this kind of scoring
also a not so good team can catch fire for 1 game and beat this team.it doesnt matter how weak the sec is.they just have to be good 1 night

We play those teams only 4 times. You obviously haven't looked at the schedule. UT only plays Fla and Mizzou once this year. The SEC is one big conference and there are no divisions anymore.

If we hit a couple more free throws against georgetown we win and i think most of us would be estatic with our record. we have some young guys starting to get involved. lets see how we do in conference play. all of our losses have been away games, too. something to think about.

I feel great. We won, so what is there to worry about?

As much as I like to ***** and moan about our offense, our defense has kept us in every game this year (save OK State), and you know what? We've won 8 of those games.

Hard to complain.

At one point does this become sustainable? At what point do people stop insisting this won't work? Because it's working.

I forgot about that.but still they are going to have to score.the def. is fine

i know the offense isn't pretty but when the offense finally catches up to the defense man we will be a great team. furthermore, with the players we have coming in next year and maybe maymon back we could be that much better next year. i'm not saying give up on this year but we are young in spots.

If we hit a couple more free throws against georgetown we win and i think most of us would be estatic with our record. we have some young guys starting to get involved. lets see how we do in conference play. all of our losses have been away games, too. something to think about.

Yea my big finger hit the wrong button lol, I knew it was 4.

My point remains, we can lose to KYx2, Mizzou and Florida. I don't expect to go 27-3.

I don't see us beating Fla or Mizzou, but I think we can slow down Ky with our D and their inexperience. If our bench shows up like it did today and Stokes and Golden get their heads on straight then we can be in any game.

Our two best players played bad to awful and we still won. I'll take it.

Let's say we beat Memphis for $hits and giggles, we are 9-3.

We can lose to UKx2, Mizzou and Florida...that's only 4 losses. Have a couple slip ups to other SEC teams, and easily go 12-6 in conference.

That's 21-9 on the year and will have us dancing. Seeing as how well have played all year without our best player, I'm ecstatic with that.

Great game Vols! So proud of the team, especially the bench. Xavier has really good defense.

We are a very critical fan base bc of football but this bball is something to be proud of under a 2nd year coach

Kitts is an embarrassment to referees. I was at the game and this guy should not be allowed to ref above high school. Unbelievable he is not forced to retire!

With Hubbs coming in next year and we only lose McBee and Hall, if Maymon comes back, we should be a legitimate sweet 16 or elite 8 team next season. Reese was very impressive tonight for his 1st game and Richardson continues to improve. Stokes continues to disappoint.
