Alone - no

Combined with the early/first year successes of players like Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Mark Sanchez, Sam Bradford, Andy Dalton, (and even Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow to some degrees) - perhaps

(by successes here, referring to both playoff appearances as well as statistically)

Exactly my thoughts as well. Good post, TO.

Really looking forward to the draft. My favorite part of the NFL season.

For the Chiefs, I'm really hoping we pick up David DeCastro tonight. I really believe that he will end up being a All-Pro level guard. I wouldn't be dissapointed if we draft Luke Kuechly though. Also, I'm really hoping that we do not take Mark Barron or Dontari Poe. I don't think Barron is elite so 11 is too high for a safety and Poe has bust written all over him. Poe isn't really a scheme fit either.

@JayGlazer I'm hearing we have our first trade; Cleveland moving up from #4 to #3 w Minnesota. Giving up 3 picks to move into the 3rd spot

Wow. Scared of the Bucs? Great move for the Vikes!

@JayGlazer Minnesota getting 3 picks and may try to move again

...The Browns moved up one (one!) spot and gave up three picks. They REAAAALLY wanted TR3

Were they afraid that TB was gonna move up to draft Richardson or Claiborne?

Either way they probably gave up too much.

So Trent Richardson to Cleveland at 3; who do the Vikings take: Kalil or Claibourne?

Huh, Saban's there. Not sure when's the last time I saw a college coach also at the draft

Browns give up 1, 4, 5 and 7 to move up.

And they still have the Falcons 1st later in the round. Peter King points out they had 13 picks in the draft already, so they still have 10! Wow.

Good move for them, then.

Mack Brown announced a pick last year.

Browns had 2 4th rd picks, 2 5th rd picks, and 3 7th rd picks. It won't hurt them too much. Good trade by Minnesota to get something out of nothing and the Browns secure the player they want without losing too much.

Good move for the Browns. They are assured who they want and still have 9 other picks
