The Official Tobias Harris Thread

No, I think you might not understand. Yes, they might have liked Pearl, but they clearly thought that playing for another coach was much more advantageous. For example, the top flight players may like Pearl, but they want to go play for a coach that has a record of getting kids to the NBA, which Pearl does not. I'm not saying they hate Pearl, but I am saying that they clearly wanted to play for other coaches more than him. Again, this just seems like common sense.

OR maybe they liked the school, facilities, campus, distance, tradition better. That is what i'm saying. The coach isn't the only factor in what school they choose.

Or they might want to stay close to home, or they might love another teams colors, or their girlfriend goes to another school, etc. There are many factors why a 17-18 would choose a school, the coach is just one of them.

:hi:

I thought i was the only one who understood this. LOL

ding ding ding we have a winner

First, you can take facilities off the list because UT has as good as anybody. Next, if you think that top flight players are more concerned about the school, the distance from home, and the campus life than they are about their potential NBA prospects and the coach that can help them realize that, then you know absolutely nothing about college basketball.

Ok then by that logic, if we land Harris it's because he thinks Pearl can get him more NBA ready that Calipari,Boeheim, Patino? Ok:ermm:

No, it's because he likes the campus landscaping better than he likes "Patino." Give me a break. He thinks that going to UT gives him a chance to be more of the dominant player on the team, and thus, increase his visibility to scouts by averaging a lot of points.
